Setting up a company is a big step, and getting the structure right from the start saves you tax and paperwork down the track. Kaya Advisory is a registered ASIC agent (No. 50513) based in Melbourne. We handle the whole registration for you: we check your company name, lodge the application with ASIC, get your Australian Company Number (ACN), and set up a Pty Ltd company that’s ready to trade, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
We’re accountants, not a form-filling service. So we also make sure your shares, directors and shareholders are set up to suit your tax position and where you want to take the business, rather than something you have to unpick later.
When you register through Kaya Advisory, you get everything you need to start trading:
– A company name check against the ASIC register
– Lodgement with ASIC as your registered agent
– Your ACN and Certificate of Registration, usually within 24 to 48 hours
– A registered Pty Ltd (proprietary limited) company
– A company constitution, the replaceable rules, or a mix of both
– Your directors, shareholders and share structure set up properly
– Your company register and key documents, ready to keep
Need an ABN, TFN or GST registration too? We can sort those at the same time so you can invoice from day one.
We’ve kept it simple. Four steps:
Have these handy before you start the form:
– Each director’s full name, date of birth, place of birth, TFN number, home address, and Director’s ID
– A company name (we’ll check it’s free, or you can register with just an ACN)
– A registered office and principal place of business in Australia
– Who the shareholders are and how the shares are divided
– Whether the company will act as an SMSF trustee, or has an ultimate holding company
Not sure on something? Leave it and we’ll confirm it with you before we lodge.
Anyone can fill in a form online. The trouble is that a mistake in your share structure or director details is slow and expensive to undo. Kaya Advisory is a registered ASIC agent (No. 50513) and registered tax agent (No. 26113206), so:
– Your application gets lodged right the first time, by people who do this every week
– Your company is structured with your tax and asset protection in mind, not just to get it across the line
– You’ve got an accountant on hand for ABN, GST, BAS and everything after registration
– You can actually ask questions and get advice, not just a confirmation email
Once we have your details, your company is usually registered and your ACN issued within 24 to 48 hours, often sooner. Now and then ASIC flags an application for manual review, which takes a bit longer.
ASIC issues your ACN (Australian Company Number) when the company is created. Your ABN (Australian Business Number) is what you use to trade, invoice and register for GST. We can set up both.
Yes. Every director has to apply for a Director Identification Number before they’re appointed. Director IDs come from the Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS), which the ATO runs. We’ll walk you through it if you don’t have one yet.
Yes. We can do your ABN, TFN and GST at the same time so you’re ready to trade straight away.
A company gives you limited liability and can be more tax-effective as you grow, but there’s more compliance to keep up with. Not sure which fits? Chat Now or call and we’ll point you the right way before you commit.
